NFL Slackmaster Pool Rules

Rule 1:

 

The Commissioner is ALWAYS right!!

 

 

Rule 2:

 

ALL picks are due 10:00PM the day before the first game of the week begins. 

No exceptions!!

 

 

Rule 3:

 

If picks are not in on time, a weekly score of ZERO will be given.  No exceptions!!

 

 

Rule 4:

 

Entry Fees:  $65.00 for the Entire Season, Survivor Pool, and Playoffs.

All entry fees must be paid before season begins!! (No Exceptions).

 

 

Rule 5:

 

This will be a Confidence Pool. Here is the Official Explanation: Pool members must assign a number to each game based on “how sure” they are that their team will win. If they feel very confident about a team, they assign the game a higher number. If they are unsure, they give the game a lower number. If their team wins, they win the amount of points they assigned to the game. If they lose, they obviously do not collect any points. Example: The Lions are playing the Broncos. You are pretty Confident that the Lions will lose this game. You pick the Broncos to win, and on the Picksheet, place a high number (like 14, 15, or 16), on the Broncos. If you are NOT so Confident the Broncos will win, place a lower number on them.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Rule 6:

 

There will also be a Survivor Pool. The premise of the Survivor pool is simple: A pool member picks only one team each week. If they win, they move on to the next week!! If they lose, they are out!! Once a member picks a team, they cannot pick that team again. The pool continues until only one member is left. In case of a tie, the pot will be split evenly.  If you pick a team twice in the Survivor Pool, you will automatically lose!! NO EXCEPTIONS!!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Rule 7:

 

Tie-Breaker Points:  After you fill out your Picksheet, you will be asked to Provide a Monday Night Tie-breaker. This is a number YOU THINK will be the Final TOTAL score for Monday Night Football. Example: Lions play Denver. Final Score is 28-20, Tie-breaker score is 48. The Player who is closest to the Tie-breaker score (without going over—just like in the showcase  on the Price is Right) will win the tie.

1st Tie-Breaker is  number of wins

2nd Tie-Breaker is Total Monday Night Points (see tie-breaker points above)

 

Season Tie-Breakers:    

 

1st Tie-Breaker is  number of wins

2nd Tie-Breaker is Total Monday Night Points Average Margin

 

 

Rule 8: Pool Payouts:

 

Weekly Payout: $65.00 Winnings paid weekly by "The Commish."

 

Season & Playoff Payouts:

1st Place: TBD

2nd Place: TBD

3rd Place: TBD
