2012 Playoff Pool Rules

There are a total of 11 playoff games including the Super Bowl.  We will treat all four weeks of the playoffs as one ÒLONGÓ week.  So beginning with the Wildcard Weekend (Jan 7 - 8), you will need to respond by e-mail to amy@theobryants.net and pick the four winners and confidence points (just as you have throughout the regular season).

You will need to fill in the winner and confidence points for each game (you are picking winners of individual games - not a team for the entire playoffs) and submit your picks via e-mail by 10:00pm the day before the weekÕs first game (same timing as the regular season).  The only difference between the playoffs and the regular season is that it will take you all four weeks to use all of your confidence points.  Again – you can use each confidence points number only once in the playoffs.  This is where strategy really comes into play – do you use your 10 & 11 during Wildcard Weekend or do you save one of these high picks for the usual Super Bowl blow out?
Each week, there will be a new picksheet with that week's games.  When doing your picks in subsequent weeks, do not use the same confidence points in multiple weeks during the playoffs (treat the entire playoffs as one long week).  If you use the same number twice during the playoffs, you automatically lose that game that you used the duplicate picks on – no exceptions.  If you get your picks in early, I can check them over to make sure there are no duplicates, but ultimately it is your responsibility to make sure everything is correct.
